Ms. Jackie Ramon is the Owner and Director the Academy of Dance, Music, & Theatre (formerly Academy of Dance Arts) and specializes in training dancers and teachers in Pre-Ballet, Classical Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Ballroom dance. Ms. Jackie is a well-respected dance educator that has taught thousands of students in all aspects of dance. Ms. Jackie’s expertise and professionalism is proven by her teaching techniques and the discipline she advocates in her dance students and teachers as they continue their professional careers. Drawing from a strong ballet and modern background as a dance major at Southern Methodist University under the tutelage of Nikita Talin, Victoria Bolen, Karen Peterson, Bob Beard, Tony Beck, and J David Kirby, Ms. Jackie’s students benefit from strong fundamental techniques in all areas of dance. Ms. Jackie has studied extensively with renowned dance artists from both the European and North American continents, including the Royal Academy of Dance in London and the American Dance Machine in New York. She has also directed musicals, drill teams, pageants, and other dance productions around the Dallas area.
Ms. Jackie’s students can be found from coast to coast performing in various television series, music videos, cruise ships, musical theater shows, ballet productions, and Broadway tours including “LA Cage Aux Follies” and the famed Disney tour of “High School Musical”. Students have gone on to perform at Six Flags, Astro World, Walt Disney World, and Disneyland. Some have been featured in layouts for the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Calendar and Elle Magazine, which included a dance pictorial with Mikhail Baryshnikov. Ms. Jackie continues to study the most innovated styles and teaching methods in order to provide Academy of Dance, Music & Theatre students the finest education in dance and the fine arts Ms. Jackie’s biggest reward is seeing her students and teachers accomplish their goals, big or small, by instilling the confidence and discipline with a comprehensive education and guidance they need to succeed in all aspects of life.
Truly a ballroom dance master. Mr. Ramon is known industry wide as a teacher’s teacher and a superlative performer. Mr. Ramon is certified by both Fred Astaire and Arthur Murray national ballroom organizations to teach all levels of ballroom-- beginner bronze through gold star professional levels. Mr. Ramon has worked in the same studios as many of the top professional dancers including the first United States professional ballroom champions, Ronnie Leverett and Alice DuBoise at Dance City USA in Houston, Texas. Mr. Ramon lists some of the top names in the industry as teachers, mentors and friends. Notable among them are Allen Darrel, Jerry Leone, John Monte and Ron Montez. Mr. Ramon introduced award winning ballroom instruction to Northeast Texas residents after joining the Academy of Dance Arts in 1976.

Ms. Jackie Ramon came to Greenville from Dallas, TX to teach for Ms. Betty Hogue, in the mid 1970’s, before taking over as owner and director. While directing the highly respected Academy of Dance Arts in Greenville and Sulphur Springs, she then proceeded to establish and direct the award-winning NorthEast Texas Dance Company in 1983. Along side her husband, Mr. Tom Ramon, the Academy of Dance Arts expanded its dimensions by offering Music and Theatre now known as the Academy of Dance, Music, & Theatre
